Elva Louise Howard

Elva Louise Howard, 79, passed away on January 15th, 2026, at the Good Shepherd Nursing & Rehabilitation at Phelps, Kentucky. 

Elva was born on April 26th, 1946, in Harlan, Kentucky.  Elva was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Howard.

Elva had an outspoken personality and liked to be called Louise.  She enjoyed the simple things like her pudding cups and her teddy bear who never left her side.  Elva was passionate about her sweaters and jewelry.  She had a caring heart and was always concerned about her roommate at the Nursing Home.

Those left to mourn the passing of Elva include her Good Shepherd Nursing Home Family, the staff and all of her friends she made while she resided there.  

Elva was buried on January 30th, 2026 at the Davis Memorial Gardens – Mill Branch Cemetery in Stone, Kentucky.
