Lewie Richard Maynard

Lewie Richard “Rick” Maynard, age 56, resident of Good Shepherd Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Phelps, KY, passed away Thursday, January 15th, 2026.  Lewie was born on November 7th, 1969, in South Williamson, Kentucky, to the late Johnny Richard & Jeanne Ann Maynard.

In addition to his parents, Lewie was also preceded in death by his sisters, Jeanne Ann Maynard and Nina Maynard.

Lewie enjoyed the simple things in life.  He was a man with a huge sense of humor, always pulling pranks & jokes.  Lewie was a good electric bass player.  He was a family man, and his boys were his entire world.  In his spare time, Lewie enjoyed fishing and old cars.  He was of the Pentecostal faith and will be missed by all who loved him. 

Those surviving Lewie include his children, Harley Maynard of Belfry, KY, and Devin Maynard of Dothan, AL; one brother, John (Tammy) Maynard of Belfry, KY; one sister, Maryann (Homer) Hite of Belfry, KY; and his uncle, Jimmy Maynard of Turkey Creek, KY.  He was the proud grandfather of Liam.  He is also survived by a host of extended family, friends, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
