Ruby Jean (Honaker) Kennedy

Ruby Jean (Honaker) Kennedy, age 82, resident of Majestic, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her residence on February 18th, 2026. 

She was born on January 23rd, 1944, at South Williamson, KY, the daughter of the late Phillip & Ocie (Stiltner) Honaker.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was also preceded by her siblings, Bernard, Willis, Ermal, and Jim Honaker, Emma Lou Blankenship and Carolyn Honaker.

Ruby was a proud homemaker who found joy in working around her home.  She was passionate about building projects and carpenter work, reflecting her resourcefulness and creativity.  Those who knew Ruby recognized her as the best person in the world.  Always humble, kind, and putting others before herself. Ruby enjoyed the love of her animals, which brought her comfort and companionship.  Above all, she was a wonderful mother, deeply devoted to her family and loved ones. 

Those remaining to honor Ruby’s memory include her children, Terry Compton, Chris Compton and Jeff Compton, all of Majestic, Kentucky.  Additionally, Ruby leaves behind many nieces, nephews, along with a host of extended family and friends. 

Her gentle hands and warm smile were a comfort to many and the legacy of her compassion and humble spirit will be felt for generations.

The family welcomes friends for visitation on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the Faith Tabernacle Church located at 45516 Highway 194 East Majestic, Kentucky.  Special services will begin at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 at the church with Pastor Odis Blankenship officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Honaker Cemetery in Majestic, Kentucky with friends & family serving as Pallbearers.
